The house rules, in plain language

Every call on StrangerCamLive plays by the same short set of rules. They exist so two strangers can relax within the first ten seconds instead of spending the whole call on guard. Here they are, all of them, without legal padding.

The short version

Act like the person on the other side is real, because they are. Be an adult, be yourself, keep it friendly, and let people leave when they want to. If everyone did just that, this page could be one sentence long. The rest of it exists for the small minority who treat a random cam chat as a place where nobody minds. Somebody always minds.

What's welcome here

  • Conversation, full stop. Small talk, deep talk, practiced jokes, broken English, comfortable silence. There is no wrong way to have a normal conversation.
  • Skipping freely. Next is a feature, not an insult. Nobody owes anyone a longer call, and nobody has to explain a skip.
  • Showing up as yourself. Your real face, your real room, your real evening. Ordinary is the whole point of the format.
  • Typing instead of talking. The text box in every call is there for shy days, loud buses and accents that keep eating your words.
  • Reporting what crosses the line. A report is not drama — it is how the room stays worth entering. Reports reach humans, and they protect the next stranger, not just you.

What's not allowed, ever

  • Minors, period. StrangerCamLive is for adults only. Anyone who is — or appears to be — under age is removed on confirmation, and any account that brings a minor onto a call is gone for good. If you suspect one on a call, report it immediately.
  • Explicit behavior on camera. This is a conversation site, not that kind of site. Undressing, intimate acts, and soliciting them from strangers are all outside the lines — first offense is also the last warning most accounts get.
  • Harassment and hate. Insults aimed at someone's body, origin, accent, gender or beliefs end the conversation and, on repeat, the account. Disagreement is fine; degradation is not a personality.
  • Scams and begging. Asking strangers for money, gift cards, crypto or "emergency" help — or steering anyone toward an outside payment — is the single fastest way off this site. No story makes it allowed.
  • Prerecorded video and impersonation. A looped clip pretending to be a live person is fraud aimed at every stranger it meets. Played once, caught once, removed.
  • Sharing someone else's private details. Names, addresses, handles, screenshots — anything that identifies a stranger outside the call stays inside it. Publishing another person's details is a permanent removal, no ladder.
  • Anything illegal. If it is a crime offline, it is a crime on cam, and we cooperate with the authorities when it crosses that line.

How enforcement actually works

Moderation on StrangerCamLive is human. Reports from live calls jump the queue, and the team that reads them can see patterns across accounts, not just single incidents. The ladder looks like this:

  1. A warning for the small stuff — a first borderline call where intent is unclear. Most people only ever see this step, and most adjust.
  2. A suspension for repeat or deliberate behavior. The account sits out for days, and the note stays on its record.
  3. Removal for anything after that, and immediately for the severe list: minors, scams, explicit behavior, recordings posing as people, leaked private details. Severe cases skip the ladder entirely — there is no warning tier for them.

Appeals exist. If you believe a decision was wrong, write to [email protected] and a different set of eyes reviews it. "Everyone else was doing it" is not an appeal.

Your half of the deal

Rules catch what gets reported, so the fastest safety tool on the site is still you. The report button sits on every call, one tap away, and a one-sentence report is enough. For the habits that keep your own side of the camera clean — what to keep out of frame, how to spot a recording, why money never changes hands — the safety tips page is the practical companion to this one. Common questions about the rules get short answers on the FAQ.

That's the whole deal: a room where adults can meet strangers without bracing for the worst. Keep it that way, and the next person who taps in tonight gets the same room you did.

Rules read. The room is open.
