StrangerCamLive · policies
This page is the compliance statement of StrangerCamLive under 18 U.S.C. § 2257 and the regulations that go with it. It explains what the platform is in the eyes of that law, and where the record-keeping duties sit.
StrangerCamLive is a live communication platform. One click connects two adults for a private, real-time video call; nothing is staged, produced, directed or filmed by us. StrangerCamLive does not produce, and is not the producer of, any visual depiction of actual sexually explicit conduct as those terms are used in 18 U.S.C. § 2257 and 28 C.F.R. Part 75. The video that moves across the service belongs to the people in the call, not to the platform that carries it.
Every person who uses StrangerCamLive must be 18 years or older, and by using the service each user attests to exactly that. The Terms of Service make the age requirement a condition of access, and our Content Policy treats anything involving a minor as the single most serious violation there is: immediate removal, a permanent ban, and a report to the appropriate authorities.
Because StrangerCamLive is not a producer of the depictions the statute covers, the platform does not hold the records 18 U.S.C. § 2257 requires producers to keep. To the extent any visual depiction within the reach of the statute is ever created through the service, the record-keeping and age-verification obligations rest with the actual producer of that depiction — the individual user who created it. Users are responsible for their own compliance with the law, and creating or sharing unlawful content through the platform is prohibited outright.
No user may use StrangerCamLive to produce, request, display or distribute any depiction of sexually explicit conduct involving anyone under 18, or any content that is unlawful where the user lives. Any account suspected of it is closed and reported. Users are also forbidden from recording or redistributing another person's stream without that person's consent — a rule enforced independently of this statement, under the Content Policy.
Calls on StrangerCamLive are transmitted in real time and are not recorded or archived by the platform. There is no content library here, no uploads, and no stored depictions for the statute to attach to. What the service keeps is the ordinary technical record of running a website, described in our Privacy Policy.
Statements are cheap, so here is the machinery behind this one. The age requirement is not a footnote — it is a condition of access written into the terms every user accepts. Moderation on StrangerCamLive is done by people, with the authority to remove a user mid-session when a report justifies it. And the report button inside every call gives the whole community a direct line to that team, twenty-four hours a day. A platform that connects strangers has to be able to un-connect them just as fast, and ours can.
Questions about this statement, and any concern that content on the platform may involve a person under 18, should go directly to [email protected]. Reports of that kind are treated with the highest priority our moderation team has, and are passed to the proper authorities wherever the law requires it.
